Due to the safety concern issues with the current social environment in Hong Kong, we are forced to cancel THE WORLD 2019 STAGE 5 HONG KONG, scheduled for Saturday 7 December, 2019. Players who have already paid the entry fee for STAGE 5 are eligible for a full refund.
We will refund the fee on Tuesday 19 November 2019, around 6 pm (Japan Time).

【If you paid the fee using credit card】
When the refund is processed by your card issuer, it will show as a credit to your account 3 to 5 business days after 19 Nov.

It is with much regret to announce that due to severely deteriorating situation in Hong Kong for the past few days, which was not anticipated, we are forced to cancel THE WORLD 2019 STAGE 5 HONG KONG which was scheduled to take place on Saturday 7 December.

As putting players and related parties' safety first is our number one priority, we have no choice but to cancel the tournament.

Players who have already paid the entry fee for STAGE 5 will be eligible for a full refund.
Announcement on how to receive the refund will be made on THE WORLD official website on a later date.
Please note that NO alternative tournament will be taking place.

As for each annual ranking, with the current ranking which was determined at STAGE 4 TAICHUNG, Final annual ranking in THE WORLD 2019 is determined.

In addition, SUPER DARTS 2020 WILD CARD TOURNAMENT which was scheduled to take place at the same venue on Sunday 8 December will be cancelled.
New information about the SUPER DARTS 2020 WILD CARD TOURNAMENT will be announced soon.

We sincerely apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience caused and regret any disappointments this may bring to all the players and related parties.

Attention to players participating in THE WORLD 2019 STAGE 5 HONG KONG.
When traveling and staying in Hong Kong, please monitor Hong Kong local media, local transportations sites and embassy/consulate websites for the latest news and participate in THE WORLD tournament at your own risk.

The event organizer reserves the right to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of the event organizer or in the case of Force Majeure*.

Force Majeure
Includes and is not limited to the event organizer being unable to perform its obligations, organize or hold the event, or secure the safety of the event participants due to protest, riot, civil disobedience, uprising, march, revolt, assembly, demonstration, occupation, commotion, mass gathering, war, insurrection, sabotage, terrorist attack or the likelihood of such event or act.

If the organizer decides to cancel the event, the announcement will be made on the official website and SNS.
Please be aware that the announcement could be made right before the event.

Should STAGE 5 HONG KONG be cancelled, paid entry fee for STAGE 5 shall be fully refunded.
The organizer shall not be liable for any direct, or indirect, consequential or special damages that may be incurred due to such cancellation, including, but not limited to, airfare, hotel expenses, cancellation penalties and any other private expenses.
