WSDA (THE WORLD SOFT DARTS ASSOCIATION)
At THE WORLD STAGE 2 TAICHUNG, an error occurred in the application of THE WORLD OFFICIAL RULES, which affected the match results of the players concerned. We sincerely apologize to the players involved and to all related parties.

To prevent a recurrence of similar cases, we will revise the competition rules as described below, and will strengthen our operational structure to respond to and resolve trouble judges more quickly.

▼ Effective date
This revision will take effect from “THE WORLD STAGE 3 JAPAN,” to be held on Sunday, 20 September 2026.

▼ Details of the revision
As the criteria for “match establishment” and “forfeit loss” in match calls were not clearly defined, they are hereby stipulated as follows.

■ Criteria for match start and player calls
A call will be made every 5 minutes after the match is assigned and the PUSH notification is sent (hereinafter “match notification”).
Except in the cases described below, calls will be made as follows, and any player who does not appear at the designated machine will lose by forfeit regardless of the reason.

Calls will be made in stages as follows.
1. Second call (5 minutes after receiving match notification)
If the match has not started within 5 minutes of receiving the match notification, the players will be called by PUSH notification and by an announcement in the venue.
2. Final call (5 minutes after Second call announcement)
If the player still does not appear at the match board 5 minutes after the second call, the player will be called by PUSH notification and by an announcement in the venue.
At this point, one warning will be given to the player concerned.
A player who accumulates 3 warnings during a single tournament will be disqualified from that tournament for delay of play.
This does not affect participation in tournaments from the following STAGE onward.
3. Loss by forfeit due to delay of play (5 minutes after Final call announcement)
If the player still does not appear at the match board 5 minutes after the final call, the player will lose by forfeit.

■ Exception
This rule does not apply in cases where the organizer has designated or suspended the match start time due to operational circumstances such as live broadcasting or preparation of the match board.
